Phuket Invitational organizers are hoping to attract the biggest
private yachts in Asia for this year's
event in December. Although the self-titled 'Superyacht
Rendezvous' enjoyed a successful and windy event in December, organizer SEAL Superyachts is hopeful several of the region's
biggest Asian-owned boats will take part in the fifth staging of the event and give it a solid
base for the coming years.
“We’re generally happy with the format. We had a very successful
event in December, with winds of up to 25 knots for the race, but for 2004, there will be a number
of major boats in Asia and we would really like them to take part,” said
Graham Frost, SEAL’s
managing director. |
